Sony was Hacked?

PlayStation Network has been hacked?! Just recently, PSN has been hacked and over 70 million user information has been leaked. The hacker is said to have user's information, passwords, address, and it is questionable whether he or she has user credit card information. The only lead to why this occurred is an act of revenge. It is believed that someone did this to get back at PSN. However no other information is out on this occurrence.

Chapter 11: Clean Slate, Recreate, Relate with No Hate

So here comes the big finale. I’ve finally tracked down Atlas/Fontaine and it’s time for the showdown of the century. The self-proclaimed omnipotent superpower of Rapture verses the stoic and unskilled Zhivago. Except Zhivago has a lightning-spitting shotgun. And I have a small army of Little Sisters to throw around. And Fontaine seems to prefer standing ramrod still in a fight.

Bomb Goes Boom

For my next challenge, I decided to take on the world of Search and Destroy. As if the title alone wasn’t intense enough for you, Search and Destroy is an extremely quick paced and intense game mode where you are only allowed to have one life per round. Some people may not like the idea of only getting one chance to defeat your opponents, but in this mode killing all of your enemies is not the primary objective (although you can still win by doing this).

A Familiar Voice

I started the mission “Charlie Don’t Surf” and got myself in the shooter mood when all of a sudden I heard something foreign, no wait, the other one…Was that an American? FINALLY!?

Return to the Campaign

After having so much fun in Call of Duty 4′s multiplayer, I realized that I have neglected the single player mode so with great sorrow, I switched over modes to try to complete some more levels of the campaign. Luckily, my return was welcomed with a large bang with the assassination of President Al-Fulani provoking another full World War (much like the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand). After an obscenely long loading screen, I was welcomed to a dark swamp and a pimped out assault rifle straight out of a science fiction movie.

One for all, and all for me.

Even though it is completely out of character, I finally decided to flip the script and give Call of Duty 4′s Free-For-All game mode a try. Apparently after being trapped in a cage for so long, the lone wolf in me grew a hunger…for head shots. Although I have played first person shooters since the first coming of the inverted control map (GoldenEye 007), it has been an extremely long time since I even attempted to play a shooter without the aid of a team (of idiots) on my side.

A Little Bit Sad to Say the Least

So class is over. And I have no exam. And I am done with my freshman seminar! I should be leaping with joy, but at the same time, I’m going to miss talking about videogames, especially since I’m not too knowledgeable in that area. Not to mention, I’m gonna miss playing Mario Kart 64 with all of the cool kids. Good times, good times.

Ground War

As the title clearly states, I will discuss my pain suffering anguish happy fun times playing through the game type Ground War on online multiplayer. Ground War is a multiplayer game type that actually lets you play 2 different modes, Team Deathmatch and Domination. What really sets Ground War apart from the other game types is the amount of players that you are required to have in order to play a game.

“Make the Jump”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare introduces you to the world of combat though the first mission “Crew Expendable.” Full of anticipation, your avatar “Soap” MacTavish sits quietly in the dark cockpit of a helicopter in over the bearing sea. Finally it is time, as you repel down the side of the chopper and onto the large cargo ship below. Before entering the ship’s interior, three off guard enemies are seen lounging around in the ship’s control room. Your allies take aim and they instantly go down in a hail of gunfire.

A Personal Take on Life

I believe that the most interesting characteristic of the "art" games that we have played in class like Every Day the Same Dream and One Chance is that every player can relate to the game differently. I would like to discuss my personal impressions of Passage.
