Mass Exodus: Memory 1 from Desmond

The game starts out with Desmond lying on a table. A team of scientists is examining and studying him, Rebecca, Lucy, and Shaun; they are also trying to help Desmond recover memories from his ancestors. They are from the future, 2012. They are taking place in the “assassin’s creed” and their enemies are the Templars which in that modern day is a company called Abstergo. The Abstergo try to take over the planet. The whole “2012 doomsday” thing is supposed to be caused by Abstergo. His ancestor is Etzio from Rome in 1446.

The Begining

I have played Halflife 2 for a cumulative game time of about 2 hours.  Through these 2 hours I have experienced a lot about the game and the premise behind it.  The setting is our planet Earth about 200 years into the future which has been taken over by an evil regime called The Combine.  You play a soldier, Gordan Freeman, who is recruited by a man named G-man to fight the evil forces.  When the game begins you find yourself in a subway trying to find your way to G-man.  Right away I found that there is not a lot of instruction and guidance to help you find your way through the city.  It m

Birth By Sleep Entry #1

Ok, I’m going to avoid talking about the story as much as I can when I’m making this entry, since it should spoil pretty much all of the games in the Kingdom Hearts series. Since Kingdom Hearts games tend to feature lots of plot-irrelevant Disney Worlds mixed with occasional plot points, that shouldn’t be too hard. I doubt anyone would be annoyed if I told them that you visit Snow White, for instance.

Before we get started….

Some quick background info on Kingdom Hearts, hopefully without any major spoilers. The main series of Kingdom Hearts follows the adventures of Sora, a young man who wields a weapon known as a keyblade. A keyblade is a magical weapon that can lock and unlock doors, including the metaphorical doors of the heart. Sora lives in a universe of disjointed worlds, most of which are based on Disney movies. He is forced to leave his home world when it is destroyed by the invading Heartless.

Nowhere Man

It was a friday afternoon, I was bored so I decided that my semester long project should of playing Zelda should begin. I put in the game, and after a good five minutes of trying to turn the darn machine on (my N64 is about 13 years old give or take) it finally decided to work and I selected “New Game”.

Prison Break

This will probably come as a surprise to none of you: I’m a huge nerd. As such a RPG like TES IV: Oblivion and its predecessor Morrowind has always fulfilled a desire for fantasy violence and a chance at a second life (but with magic!). As such I’ve decided to write my glog about the latest of The Elder Scrolls series, Oblivion.

Day 1: Introductions

As per recommendation from my roommate, I picked up Bioshock to play through for my FSEM class. I’ve never played through it or even heard much about the game beforehand, but almost everyone who’s played it has loudly voiced that it was one of the greatest games that they’ve ever played. After killing the lights and plugging in my headphones (also recommended from my roomie), I loaded up the game and wondered whether the game would live up to the massive amount of hype coupled with it.
